The spirit is made from malted grain, mostly maize, grown and distilled in Castilla la Vieja, then aged for around 16 years, including 12 years in a single cask previously holding old dry Oloroso from a Jerez solera. Bottled in June 2021 at 46% ABV, just 600 bottles were produced. Expect nuts, orange peel, black tea, toasted caramel, dry vanilla and gentle spice, with a silky, savoury, slightly smoky finish.
