The 1997 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Château de Beaucastel comes from the southern Rhône Valley, where galets roulés stones and diverse soils allow all 13 permitted grape varieties to flourish. Owned by the Perrin family, the estate spans around 130 hectares and is a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture. The lighter 1997 vintage produced earlier-drinking wines, now showing evolved notes of leather, spice, dried red fruits and earth, with soft tannins and gentle acidity. It pairs beautifully with roast lamb, game dishes or rich Provençal stews, offering mature charm and complexity.
