The 2024 Bricco San Michele Timorasso from Claudio Mariotto is a brilliant expression of Piemonte’s Colli Tortonesi, an area famed for reviving the once-endangered Timorasso grape. The Bricco San Michele vineyard sits near Sarezzano at 250–300 metres above sea level on limestone and clay soils, giving the wine its hallmark minerality and tension. Claudio Mariotto’s family estate dates back to 1920 and today spans around 54 hectares, producing approximately 150,000 bottles annually. The warm, balanced 2024 vintage delivers aromas of chamomile, ripe orchard fruit, wild flowers and flinty stone. Rich yet fresh, it pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes and mature cheeses.
