NV Ci Confonde (Brianna), Garagista Wines -Vermont

Tucked away in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, La Garagista Farm & Winery crafts the delightfully quirky Ci Confonde (Brianna), a sparkling pét-nat that captures the wild beauty of New England winemaking. The vines grow on a mix of clay, limestone and shale soils in the Les Carouges vineyard near Vergennes, where the cold climate and mineral-rich terroir bring crisp acidity and aromatic lift to the hybrid grape Brianna — a variety bred to thrive in these northern conditions.

Founded by Deirdre Heekin and Caleb Barber in 2010, La Garagista farms biodynamically and organically, using only wild yeasts and minimal intervention to express a true sense of place. Ci Confonde is bottled before fermentation finishes, creating a lightly cloudy sparkle with notes of white peach, lychee, honeysuckle and a zesty, slate-like finish.

It’s a joyful, refreshing wine that pairs beautifully with oysters, smoked trout, fried chicken or spicy Asian dishes — bright, textural and full of Vermont charm.
