The 2024 Chin Chin is made by the Monteiro family at Quinta do Ermizio, a small estate of about 15 hectares in northern Portugal’s Vinho Verde region. The vines are farmed sustainably, with grapes harvested by hand. Fermentation uses native yeasts in stainless steel, and there’s a deliberate “light‑spritz” (small CO₂ addition) to preserve that lively, fresh edge. The wine’s alcohol is modest—just 11.5% ABV—which is part of the charm.
In the glass, Chin Chin 2024 is bone‑dry, crisp and energetic. Think pear and nectarine up front, citrus zest, and a clean coastal salinity, all carried by a refreshing acidity and that gentle fizzy lift. It’s the sort of wine that makes you go back for another glass before the first is half empty.
As for food: this is perfect with anything fresh and light. Shellfish (oysters, prawns), grilled sardines, lightly spiced Asian dishes, or salads with crisp greens all shine. Also great as an aperitif, or with fresh goat’s cheese. Serve chilled (about 8‑10°C) to show off its zing and vivacity.
