Nestled in the rolling hills of South West France, Christophe Muret’s vineyards sit near Béziers in the Languedoc, a region more commonly associated with bold reds—but here, Pinot Noir thrives in cooler microclimates. The soils are rich in red clay and limestone, with breezes from the nearby Mediterranean helping to preserve freshness in the fruit. Christophe Muret, once one of France’s largest melon producers, made the bold leap to winemaking in the early 2000s. Today, he farms 80 hectares using low-intervention, sustainable practices, aiming to let the terroir do the talking.

The 2024 St Vincent Pinot Noir offers a bright, youthful profile with juicy red cherry, raspberry, and a hint of wild herbs on the nose. The palate is silky and fresh, with fine tannins and a clean mineral edge that keeps things elegant and vibrant. It’s not Burgundy—but it’s no lesser for it, offering a sun-kissed, southern take on the grape.

Pair this with roast duck, grilled salmon, or wild mushroom risotto. It’s also a fantastic match with soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert—perfect for a relaxed evening with friends and good food.
