In 1992, Eric embarked on a daring career shift, leaving behind his role as a nuclear engineer to delve into the world of winemaking. With no prior experience or connections in the industry, he pursued an internship with Jean-Marie Guffens at Verget in Mâcon. Unable to immediately acquire his own vineyard due to a lack of networking, Eric honed his skills by collaborating with established winemakers and producing négoce wines with like-minded enthusiasts. His journey led him to François Pouchoulin, affectionately known as the Godfather of Brézème, who introduced Eric to the rich history of this small enclave nestled on the southernmost edge of the Northern Rhône.

Fascinated by Brézème’s storied past and unique terroir, Eric was determined to make his mark. With Pouchoulin’s invaluable guidance, Eric eventually acquired a modest parcel of vines in Brézème. Over the years, Eric’s dedication and expertise have revitalised the Brézème appellation, establishing himself as its premier grower. Today, his wines, like this superbly aged white, stand as a testament to his mastery, showcasing remarkable complexity, balance, and a true expression of their origin. 100% Roussanne grape with wonderful texture and a white flower aromatic nose.
