The 2020 Barolo 'Berri' from Trediberri is a radiant example of La Morra's terroir, showcasing the elegance and depth of Nebbiolo. Hailing from the Berri MGA, a historic vineyard area in the westernmost part of La Morra, this wine benefits from the region's unique microclimate and soil composition, which contribute to its distinctive character.
Trediberri was established in 2007 by Nicola Oberto, his father Federico, and friend Vladimiro Rambaldi, with the aim of producing exceptional Barolo wines. Their commitment to organic farming and traditional winemaking practices ensures that each bottle reflects the purity of its origins.
The 2020 vintage is composed of 100% Nebbiolo, fermented in cement tanks and aged for 20 months in large oak casks. The result is a wine with aromas of red berries, rose petals, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it offers a balanced structure with fine tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Ideal pairings include truffle risotto, braised meats, or a selection of aged cheeses. This Barolo is approachable now but will continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
