2024 La Bruja (Garnacha), Commando G - Castilla y Leòn

The 2024 La Bruja by Comando G is a lively, characterful Garnacha from Cebreros in Castilla y León’s Sierra de Gredos, where high-altitude vineyards and sandy granite soils create naturally fresh, mineral-driven wines. Founded in 2008 by Daniel Landi and Fernando García, Comando G focuses on old Garnacha vines; the estate farms around 15 hectares, with vines typically 40–80 years old. The 2024 vintage was frost-hit, slashing the main vineyard’s crop from around 30,000kg to 9,000kg and prompting fruit from El Tiemblo. Expect violets, wild strawberries, red cherries, herbs and spice, with silky tannins and bright acidity. Pair with roast chicken, grilled lamb, mushrooms or Manchego.
