2022 Macabeu & Garnacha Blanco, Acústic Celler- Montsant

Tucked away in the rugged hills of Montsant, just southwest of Priorat in Catalonia, Spain, Acústic Celler is known for coaxing out the soulful essence of old vines and native grapes. This 2022 Macabeu & Garnacha Blanca is a cracking example of what the region does best—bold yet elegant whites with bags of character. The vineyards sit at altitudes up to 700m, rooted in poor, rocky soils that give the wine its trademark mineral edge. The winemaker, Albert Jané, champions organic practices and minimal intervention, producing around 3,000 bottles of this blend.

Expect aromas of white peach, fennel, and a hint of beeswax. On the palate, it's textured with a lovely citrus zing and saline finish—properly moreish. Perfect with grilled sea bass, Manchego, or even a veggie paella. It’s a wine that speaks fluently of sun, stone, and Catalan soul.
