From Quinta das Bandeiras in the Douro Superior, the 2023 Passagem showcases the region’s rugged charm, where schist soils, intense sunshine, low rainfall and river-valley slopes create naturally concentrated, fresh wines. The 100-hectare estate, acquired by the Bergqvist family in 2005, has 30 hectares under vine and is a joint venture with acclaimed winemaker Jorge Moreira. The 2023 Passagem is a 13% blend led by Touriga Nacional, with Touriga Franca, fermented in stainless steel and aged eight months in French Allier oak.
