2023 La Patagua (Semillon and Moscatel) Vinos Inacayal - Colchagua Valley

The 2023 La Patagua from Vinos Inacayal is a lively, characterful Chilean white from Colchagua Valley, a warm, dry region framed by the Andes and Coastal Range. Made by Luca Hodgkinson with Les Caves de Pyrène, the project champions old, dry-farmed vines and low-intervention winemaking. The blend is around 90% Semillon with 10% Moscatel, the latter sourced from cooler Guarilihue in coastal Itata. The vintage is fresh and expressive, offering pineapple, lychee, citrus peel and white flowers, with zippy acidity, gentle texture and a lightly mineral finish. At 13.5% ABV, it’s brilliant with ceviche, prawn tacos, grilled squid, spicy chicken empanadas or aromatic Asian dishes.
