2023 Parva Rose, Mountain People, Monmouthshire

The 2023 Parva Rosé from Mountain People Wine is a terrifically intriguing Welsh rosé grown on the steep, south‑facing slopes of Parva Farm in the Wye Valley, Monmouthshire; a  cool‑climate site with limestone‑rich soils that give real vibrancy and freshness to the grapes. Winemaker Dave Morris makes this biodynamic field‑blend from around a dozen varieties including Pinot, Regent, Seyval and Bacchus with a gentle low‑temp semi‑carbonic maceration and natural fermentation, producing a lively, bright rosé with red berry, floral tea and citrus zest notes. It’s great with barbecued prawns, charcuterie, goat’s cheese or summer salads.
