2023 Predappio, Chiara Condello

The 2023 Predappio by Chiara Condello comes from the hills of Predappio in Emilia-Romagna, in the foothills of the Apennines where Sangiovese grows in calcareous clay and sandstone soils known locally as Spungone. Vineyards sit around 150–300 metres above sea level, giving the wine freshness and aromatic lift. Chiara Condello is one of the leading young producers in Romagna, farming about six hectares of vines with an organic approach and producing around 35,000 bottles annually. Made from 100% Sangiovese, the wine shows notes of cherry, rose and violet with lively acidity and soft tannins, pairing beautifully with tagliatelle ragù, grilled meats and aged cheeses.
