2023 Two Sisters, Matt Gregory

Matt Gregory’s Two Sisters 2023 is a tiny, characterful English red from Leicestershire, where cool conditions and Jurassic limestone soils bring freshness and mineral lift. Gregory makes just 868 bottles, blending 60% Pinot Noir with 40% Pinot Gris at a modest 10% alcohol. The 2023 vintage was naturally fermented with minimal intervention, then matured mainly in stainless steel, with 25% spending time in a used Barolo barrique before blending. Expect bright red-fruit flavours, gentle spice, lively acidity and an earthy, savoury edge. Delicious slightly chilled, it pairs brilliantly with roast chicken, charcuterie, mushrooms or a hearty sausage casserole.
