The 2024 Le Lesc is a brilliantly crisp, refreshing white from the sun-soaked region of Gascony in south-west France. This area, nestled between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, is known for its rolling hills, cool ocean breezes and clay-limestone soils—perfect for producing lively, aromatic white wines. The wine is made by Producteurs Plaimont, a respected co-operative founded in 1979, now representing over 800 growers across more than 5,000 hectares. Their commitment to sustainable practices and regional character shines through in every bottle, and Le Lesc is a prime example of that ethos.
A blend of Colombard and Ugni Blanc, the 2024 vintage is light and zesty with an easy-going 11% ABV. On the nose, you’ll find bright citrus—lemon zest and grapefruit—alongside crunchy green apple and a touch of fresh herbs. The palate is dry, refreshing and clean, sometimes showing a little spritz, with mouth-watering acidity and a crisp, mineral finish.
Perfect as an apéritif, this wine also pairs beautifully with goat’s cheese, shellfish, light salads or grilled vegetables. It’s a natural fit for summery picnics or lazy lunches in the garden. Serve well chilled (8–10°C) and enjoy its simple, joyful drinkability. Le Lesc is proof that good wine doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be well made.
