Burnt House Pinot Noir 2024 brings Suffolk sunshine and cool-climate charm to the glass. Based at Little Finborough near Stowmarket, this family-run vineyard was established by siblings James and Catherine Scarff in 2017, with 22 acres planted on a south-facing site. Suffolk’s relatively dry, gentle terroir suits Pinot Noir, while 2024 was a challenging, wet UK vintage, demanding careful vineyard work and selective picking. This 12% red offers bright cherry, plum and redcurrant, backed by smoky oak, earthy warmth and soft tannins. Delicious with roast lamb, duck or charcuterie, it’s equally happy alongside mushroom dishes or a hearty Sunday roast.
