2024 Soave Classico ‘Casette Foscarino’ Monte Tondo - Veneto

Monte Tondo’s 2024 Soave Classico ‘Casette Foscarino’ is a spectacularly complex white crafted by Gino Magnabosco and his daughter Marta. Founded in 1979, this artisanal family estate manages 32 hectares across the region, including 22 hectares of prized, low-yielding Soave Classico hillside vines. Grown on the sun-baked, high-altitude slopes of Monte Foscarino, the late-harvested Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grapes thrive on volcanic, calcareous soils that deliver an intense, structural punch. The 2024 vintage balances a rich, oak-matured texture with striking, mineral tension. Pouring a deep straw-yellow, it treats the nose to dominant aromas of dried apricot, honey, and subtle vanilla, leaving a beautiful finish of silky almond cream. It makes for a cracking partnership with fish soup, creamed cod, or soft cheeses like Taleggio.
