Centropassi’s 2025 Grillo & Catarratto is a truly inspiring, defiant white wine produced by the viticultural soul of the Libera Terra social cooperative.

Managing 94 hectares of certified-organic vineyards across the stunning, high-altitude Belice Corleonese plateau near Palermo, this brave team famously cultivates agricultural land completely confiscated from the Mafia to provide legal local employment. The superb 2025 vintage showcases a brilliant tension, thriving in limestone-rich soils at altitudes up to 950 metres where cool mountain breezes temper the fierce Sicilian sun. Pouring a vibrant pale gold, the wine opens with beautiful aromas of citrus blossom, fresh grapefruit, and wild Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it delivers a zesty, medium-bodied crunch loaded with green apple and a distinctly salty, saline finish. It is an absolutely champion match for pasta alle vongole, grilled sardines, or a light fennel salad.
