2025 Petit Chablis, Gerard Tremblay

From Chablis in northern Burgundy, the 2025 Petit Chablis from Gérard Tremblay is a bright, breezy Chardonnay with plenty of personality. The region’s cool continental climate and limestone-rich soils, shaped by ancient marine fossils, give the wine its trademark freshness and mineral edge. Now in its fifth generation, the Tremblay family farms more than 37 hectares, including 10 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards. The 2025 vintage was warm and notably dry, with an early harvest, producing ripe fruit balanced by lively acidity. Expect citrus, white flowers and a hint of flinty ‘gunstone’. Serve with oysters, prawns, grilled fish, goat’s cheese or fresh seafood.
