2025 Sauvignon Blanc Savage Wines - Cape Town

Savage Wines’ 2025 Sauvignon Blanc comes from Cape Town’s Coastal Region, with fruit sourced from granite-rich Stellenbosch vineyards, where maritime breezes help preserve freshness. Winemaker Duncan Savage, who spent 14 years at Cape Point Vineyards, launched his own label in 2011 and established his Salt River urban winery in 2016. The 2025, at 13.5% ABV, is made from several vineyard parcels, including mature bush vines, with fermentation in stainless steel, concrete eggs and older oak before four months on lees. Expect grapefruit, white citrus, Cape gooseberry, cut grass and subtle granitic spice, finishing saline and beautifully taut. Brilliant with oysters, prawns, ceviche or goat’s cheese.
