2025 Sauvignon Blanc Verus - Ljutomer - Ormož

Verus’s 2025 Sauvignon Blanc hails from Ljutomer-Ormož in Štajerska Slovenija, eastern Slovenia, where vineyards stretch between the Drava and Mura rivers. Jeruzalem-Ormož’s hills feature light, sandy loam and marl soils, with good drainage and a climate shaped by the Pannonian Plain, sunny days and cool autumn nights. Founded in 2007, Verus was created by Rajko Žličar, Danilo Šnajder and Božidar Grabovac, farming about 30 hectares. The 2025 vintage began harvest on 26 August, the winery’s second-earliest start. Expect jasmine, cut grass, nettle, passion fruit, lime, mineral notes and lively acidity. Pair with sea bass, goat’s cheese, asparagus or herb chicken.
