Bèrto Aperitivo comes from Castelnuovo Don Bosco in Piedmont, north-west Italy, where Antica Distilleria Quaglia has been distilling for four generations and more than a century. Bottled at a refreshing 15% ABV, this artisanal aperitivo revives traditional Italian recipes with a modern touch. It is non-vintage (NV), with no extended barrel ageing; instead, carefully selected botanicals are infused to build its character. Expect lively orange peel, Italian citrus, rhubarb and gentian, with subtle ginger, floral notes and a gently bitter, rounded finish. Serve chilled over ice with soda, or make a spritz with Prosecco. Delicious alongside olives, cured meats, salty snacks and antipasti.
