Jacquesson + Fils Champagne, Disc 99’ (Magnum)

Hailing from Dizy in the Vallée de la Marne, Champagne Jacquesson et Fils crafts small-production cuvées with a cult-like following. The Disc 99’ is part of their rare Dégorgement Tardif series, showcasing late-disgorged vintages in magnum for ultimate ageing and complexity. 1999 was a warm, generous vintage—perfect for extended lees ageing.

Run by brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, the house produces just over 300,000 bottles annually—tiny by Champagne standards—focusing on organic viticulture and single-vineyard expression. The terroir is chalky, with clay-limestone soils that lend precision and mineral depth.

Disc 99’ opens with aromas of toasted brioche, dried apricot, and candied citrus, evolving into honeyed nuttiness and a creamy mousse. There’s a fine spine of acidity balancing the richness.
