Jean-Marc Roulot is a benchmark producer in Meursault, Burgundy, renowned for his precision-driven, mineral-rich whites. Based in the Côte de Beaune, his wines are a masterclass in terroir expression—Meursault’s clay-limestone soils and cool climate provide the perfect stage for Chardonnay to shine. The 2022 vintage was warm yet balanced, yielding ripe fruit with remarkable tension.
Roulot’s meticulous vineyard management and organic practices result in wines of elegance and clarity. With limited production (often less than 3,000 bottles per lieu-dit), these are highly allocated gems. The 2022 Meursault is lithe and energetic, offering citrus zest, white peach, and hazelnut with a flinty, saline backbone. The élevage in mostly used oak preserves purity and freshness.
