The Kaikyo Distillery, Hatozaki Finest Blended Whisky

Hatozaki Finest Blended Whisky comes from Kaikyō Distillery in Akashi, Hyōgo, on Japan’s Seto Inland Sea coast, where sea breezes influence the local character. Founded by Kimio Yonezawa, the distillery continues a family tradition dating to 1917, with its modern distillery established in 2017. Bottled at 40% ABV, this unpeated blend contains at least 40% malt whisky and includes whiskies aged for up to 12 years. Expect floral aromas, gentle sweetness, cereal and malt flavours, with a lightly peppery finish. Enjoy it neat, over ice or, particularly refreshingly, as a highball. Pair with sushi, tempura, yakitori or lightly spiced dishes.
