Wednesday 25th November Anna Tobias, Café Deco

This autumn, one of London's most loved neighbourhood restaurants is heading to the coast. On Wednesday 25th November, Chandlery in Wells-next-the-Sea welcomes Anna Tobias of Café Deco, Bloomsbury, for Café Deco on the Coast: a collaboration that brings two kitchens, two wine lists and two seasonal philosophies together overlooking Wells Harbour.

Anna and Chandlery head chef Harry Williams will cook a shared 4-course menu, bringing Café Deco's light, modern touch on classic European recipes to the fish, game and vegetables Harry sources from fishermen, farmers and growers across the county. Bert Blaize, award-winning sommelier and Chandlery founder, will pour wines chosen to match.

Since opening in November 2020, Café Deco has built a devoted following for a weekly-changing menu of comforting, timeless dishes and a wine list championing independent producers who farm and make wine with care. Chandlery, which opened in May 2026 and was fully booked  throughout its first summer, shares the same instincts: menus shaped daily by what suppliers bring in, and a cellar of around 400 wines chosen for their story and sense of place.

Guests can expect a menu showcasing the best autumnal produce from around the North Norfolk coast, cooked with the generosity Anna learned at Rochelle Canteen and the respect for vegetables shaped by her years at The River Café. Anna’s signature take on pastry will also be on the menu to close out the hearty dinner.
